Two adrenaline junkies, gearheads, and racing fanatics, Greg Cordray and Steve Madden, were tired of the long, cold and snowy Ohio winters killing their outdoor fun. But fate had other plans. While on vacation in sunny Florida, Greg stumbled into an indoor karting raceway and thought, “This is it!” He rushed back to Ohio with the idea, and Steve, well aware of Ohio’s all-too-short summers, saw an opportunity to deliver a year-round adrenaline rush to Northeast Ohio. They didn’t waste any time—after scoping out the perfect location, High Voltage Karting was born.
But we didn’t just bring the thrills. We’re helping revitalize the community too. We took the old Foundry building in Medina, built in 1912, and gave it a new life. This spot used to churn out everything from iron skillets to air conditioning units, but now it’s all about the sound of electric go-karts tearing up the track and racers cheering for victory. Nearly 40,000 square feet of pure high-speed karting chaos, right in the heart of Medina. We didn’t just spice up the neighborhood—we lit it up!
Today, the Foundry complex is a sprawling entertainment hub featuring High Voltage Karting, Foundry Social and its huge assortment of games, food, and fun, and MAD Brewing, a microbrewery with a carefully curated selection of craft beers.
